AceShowbiz - A musical, what a brilliant idea. Following the success of hit TV series "Ugly Betty," producers are now working on its musical.
America Ferrera, who plays the series' lead role, claims she and her cast mates already asked writers and producers to create an all-singing, all-dancing episode of the show.
"We've been begging for a musical episode since episode one," so said the actress. Executive producer Marco Pennette, meanwhile, confirmed, "Yes, we're working on it."
"Ugly Betty" is a Golden Globe and Peabody Award winning American television dramedy series follows the daily work and personal lives of Betty Suarez and her boss Daniel Meade. It premiered on September 28, 2006, on ABC in the United States.
