A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie

Despite his calm and gentle demeanor, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is kicking his way through the industry. But his success didn't come in just one night, as the 23-year-old rapper had to work in different sectors of job, including construction and pizza delivery, while pursuing his dream to be a hip-hop musician.

Fortunately for him, his hard work was paid off in the end. The release of his first mixtape "Artist" helped launch his career and prompted Forbes to include on its list of up-and-coming rappers. Due to the success of the mixtape, he additionally climbed to the very top of the Pandora Trendsetter chart, which ranks up-and-coming artists with the highest number of station adds each week.

Things went well for Boogie after that, with him signing up to major label Atlantic Records and performing on several sold-out shows. He has also been described as a key part of the revitalization of New York rap and was named listed on XXL's "2017 Freshman Class".

With several gold and platinum-certified songs, Boogie released his first studio album "The Bigger Artist" on September 29, 2017. Its lead single, "Drowning" featuring Kodak Black, peaked at No. 38 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart and became his highest-charting single to date, while the effort debuted at No. 4 on Billboard 200 chart. It marked his first top five album on the tally.

Following the impressive debut of his first studio album, Boogie unearthed his sophomore effort "Hoodie SZN" on December 21, 2018. The effort spent its first two weeks on Billboard 200 at No. 2, before shooting up to the top spot in the following week. It remained atop the chart for two weeks and became his first No. 1 album. Meanwhile, four songs from "Hoodie SZN" charted on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. That included the 6ix9ine-assited "Swervin", which peaked at No. 38.
