Jackie Evancho

It only took seven years to transform Jackie Evancho from a little girl into a platinum-selling singer. After stealing attention in the fifth season of "America's Got Talent", she has become one of the most productive musicians in the music industry. The 16-year-old soprano prodigy has released an EP and five studio albums, which went to No. 1 on Billboard's Classical Albums chart. And now the Pennsylvania songstress is gearing up to release her seventh effort, "Two Hearts", which is set to hit the shelves on March 31, 2017.

Fresh off her patriotic duty by performing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at Donald Trump's presidential inauguration, the youngest solo platinum artist has been hard at work on finishing her upcoming album. She wants to explore her creativity as she takes a bold step in her career to reveal a fresh side to her music with the release of "Two Hearts".

"I'm branching into more pop than I did on my last album," she said. Though she's moving towards pop, the "Think of Me" hitmaker won't forget her signature sound as she will fill the album with classical and classical-crossover songs like she's been doing since her 2011 debut "Dream with Me". "I'm not going to get rid of my classical voice, because that's my roots, that's what I love the most," she told Billboard.

Laced with 15 songs in total, "Two Hearts" will be her first album with writing credits. "I've always written songs, ever since I first started singing, and they weren't always good," she said, before adding that she's really shy to show any music she'd written. She teamed up with her frequent collaborators Dinai Fanai and Heather Holley to write four songs on the album including "Sane", "Pedestal", "The Haunting" and "Wonderland".

Evancho released two songs, covers of Taylor Swift and The Civil War's "Safe & Sound" as well as Sam Smith's "Writing's on the Wall", in advance of the album's release. In support of "Two Hearts", she is scheduled to make her debut performance at Cafe Carlyle in New York City. She will be the youngest artist to ever perform at the prestigious venue, where Woody Allen regularly appears on Monday evenings to play with the Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band.
