Hailee Steinfeld's latest single "Starving" recently reached a new peak on Billboard Hot 100 and Mainstream Top 40 charts. The Zedd collaboration track rose to No. 13 on Hot 100 chart and No. 9 on Top 40 chart. It's currently at No. 6 on iTunes chart and No. 26 on Spotify chart.
"Starving" was released on July 16 and its music video was premiered on September 27 and has reached more than 80 million views on YouTube. The Darren Craig-helmed clip features Hailee performing sexy dance with four male dancers and a cameo from musical duo Grey.
Hailee released an acoustic version of "Starving" on December 7.
She performed the acoustic version while hosting the 2016 Billboard's Women in Music on December 9 as well as at Z100's 2016 Jingle Ball later that night.
Hailee celebrated "Starving" going platinum on Instagram. "Last night left me in tears. I've only ever dreamed of playing Madison Square Garden," she wrote, "Last year I got to celebrate my 19th birthday on that stage and last night I got to celebrate Starving going Platinum, with almost 20,000 of you...I was presented with a plaque from my iHeart and Republic family minutes before I walked on stage. The struggle holding those tears back was REAL."
She added, "I arranged a song-a-long to the version of 'Starving' from last night, and for a second I feared it wouldn't go as planned. But you took my breath away and sang every SINGLE word. You made last night a night I will NEVER ever forget and I thank you from the bottom of my heart."
