When Captain Murphy tells Mike he is going to ask Peggy to marry him, Mike is thrilled. That is until he hears Captain Murphy's plans to retire to Arizona with Peggy and sell Mike's childhood home. Mike's feelings of abandonment are exacerbated when he goes clothes shopping with Molly at the mall and gets lost. In the end Molly spills the Captains retirement plans to Peggy and Peggy won't hear of it. She lays down the law with the Captain, the Captain is sufficiently whipped, and Mike is happy to have his mommy stay in town.
