The Colonel's daughter and grandson come to see him. The Colonel isn't too happy about this. When his daughter Karen introduces him to his grandson, he ignores her. But this gives Brown the idea to plan a Friends and Family day so all of the residents can have visitors. While everyone is trying to locate family members for the other residents, Karen threatens to leave because the Colonel isn't speaking to her. Brown quickly tries to get them to talk to each other. He asks the Colonel questions to figure out why he's so upset, but he doesn't speak to Brown either. Finally he opens up and reveals he's upset because Karen put him in a home. She explains she did it because he can no longer take care of himself. After not being able to locate Miss Daisy or Ms. Edna's family members, Brown decides to have people from the church come over and keep the tenants company. Instead they send over kids. So now his house is fill of kids and old folks. Once the kids are gone and everything has calmed down, Sasha talks to the Colonel and convinces him to give Karen a second chance.
