Wendy, Shane, Nico and Victory are at a club listening to a local band that Shane used to play with. Victory is approached by a couple at the bar asking about the dress she designed for Chloe Jamison; they wanted to know if she was mass producing them. Before the band finishes their set for the evening, they ask Shane to join them on stage and perform. While Shane takes the stage, Victory goes to grab Joe out of the car and drag him into the club.

Joe joins the group in the club in time to listen to Shane perform a few more songs. After the set, Wendy finds Shane back stage and they share a private moment while Nico says good night to Victory and Joe outside. Feeling lonely since Charles is away on business, Nico pays Kirby a visit.

Victory discovers a window display at a department store with all of her dress designs, except they have been produced by designer Ricardo Bragini. Furious, Victory is unsure what to do but will have to wait till morning to figure anything out. Nico, a little tipsy from the club, knocks on Kirby's door. She lays down a few ground rules for their affair, which Kirby agrees to. Kirby decides to write them down on a chalkboard so he doesn't forget.

Wendy puts in a CD of Shane's music while the family has breakfast, then secretly slips it into her bag on her way into the office. Kirby wakes up to Nico drinking coffee and wearing one of his shirts. Although they have already broken one of the rules, Nico explains it is because Charles is out of town. Victory is at home looking at the dresses she saw in the window from the night before. She decides to call in reinforcements.

Wendy and Nico arrive at Victory's to lend their support and advice. Victory explains that Ricardo Bragini is a brand and has twelve people designing for him. Victory further explains that she can't find her original sketches, seemingly a problem. After they leave Victory's, Wendy confides in Nico that she wants to submit Shane for one of the studio's new movies without telling him.

Joe encourages Victory to look at the employees she just fired, as it is quite possible one of them stole and sold her designs. After asking him to leave, she calls and leaves a message for Reese, her old assistant. Wendy chats with her assistant Josh and asks him to send the director Shane's demo CD and then goes to see Nico because she feels weird about doing it behind Shane's back.

Nico has asked Wendy for a favor... get Kirby a job as a set photographer on one of her movies since after getting fired he can't find any work. Wendy is shocked at the request, but agrees to help. Victory is talking to her current assistant, Roy, who reminds her about a meeting with a possible investor. Just then, her doorbell rings, and its Reese. Upset, Reese shows Victory her sketches and explains that she showed Ricardo the sketches and that he must have memorized them.

Shane asks Wendy why he received a call from a director about a movie project, considering he hadn't submitted anything. Shane explains that he doesn't want to get a job because he's Wendy's husband, but she lets him know that he was submitted under a different name. If he gets the job, it's because he earned it. Nico stops by the movie set where Kirby is now working, only to discover a little heat between him and the star, Sasha Winters.

Nico extends an invitation to Sasha Winters but can't help but wonder about her and Kirby, as they seem to be flirting on the set. Victory is walking Reese out of her apartment and returns to tell Roy what an awful liar Reese actually is. Back at Parador Pictures, Wendy is in an elevator with the films' director discussing Shane's demo CD when she lets it spill that Shane is actually her husband, putting the director in an awkward position, as he was down to three choices including Shane.

Victory is visiting Nico asking for help with the Ricardo Bragini and Reese situation. She has requested extra tickets for the fundraiser the next night. When Wendy gets home, Shane is watching a rough cut of the movie. Wendy is now telling Shane not to put a lot of emphasis on this one job, realizing that she has now stepped into the deep end on this project.

Nico and Kirby are sharing a bottle of wine when Kirby lets her know that Sasha Winters gave him her cell phone number. Nico pushes Kirby to go out with Sasha Winters and then leaves. At the fundraiser the following night, Ricardo Bragini makes his entrance.

Victory and Joe walk in and Reese comes over to join them. Just as Joe walks away, Victory asks him to check her coat, revealing her dress - the red Ricardo Bragini dress. Reese, shocked to see her wearing it, simply compliments her nervously. Nico realizes exactly what Victory has in store for Reese. She then looks to the entrance to see Sasha Winters entering the fundraser with Kirby Atwood as her date. Wendy is at the office when she gets the call from her director - Shane has gotten the job on the movie.

Victory has pointed out to Reese that Ricardo Bragini is at the party. Mortified, Reese suggests leaving the party but Victory wants to confront him. Nico runs into Sasha and Kirby, says hello and then walks away. Victory shows Reese outside to confront her on her lie. Reese accuses Victory of using her friendships with Nico and Wendy to get ahead.

Reese runs into the party and tells Ricardo that she sold him Victory's designs before Victory can say anything. Joe steps in and suggests that although the label says Ricardo Bragini, the designs are purely Victory Ford and then escorts her out, leaving Reese to Nico. Nico gets home from the benefit, clearly bothered by Kirby's date with Sasha, when she decides to head over to Kirby's. Wendy gets home and Shane tells her that he got the job on the movie. Wendy, feeling conflicted, remains silent and lets him enjoy the moment.

Kirby tells Nico that he didn't want to go out with Sasha and doesn't plan to do so again. Nico confides in him that she wanted to be able to walk away from him, but she's not sure she can do that anymore. After erasing all the rules on his chalkboard, she falls into his arms. Victory, at home, reads about her fight with Reese on the Internet when her doorbell rings. She sits down with Diego, the gentlemen from the club, who wants to invest in her line.
