Chance's old friend Gerard brings the team to New York City to prevent the assassination of Victoria, Princess of Wales. At her hotel, Gerard briefs Chance on exits and explains they can't trust anyone on her security detail.

Victoria, a pretty blonde, is heir apparent to the throne ... and the Royal Family's black sheep. After three unhappy years in her arranged marriage to Prince Walter, she's fallen for Tony, a sweet, hunky NYC paramedic. She wants a divorce, but Walter's too proud. He went to Templeton, the "Royal Fixer," who keeps the family's business out of the tabloids. Templeton's disgusted that her unconventional ways have "heaped shame" on her family and their country. He plans to have her killed about 90 minutes from now, while en route to a museum event with the Queen.

Chance will protect Victoria in the limo while Gerard gets proof from his contact: recordings of Nathan, Victoria's security chief, discussing the plot with Templeton.

Meanwhile, a suspicious Nathan radios Templeton, who says move up the timetable. Nathan sends his man James to inform Victoria that, due to traffic delays, they'll leave momentarily. Chance takes James out, and Gerard creates a distraction with a room service cart. Nathan bites, thinking the Princess is stashed under the cart, but it's empty. Gerard slips away.

As Chance and Victoria dash through the hotel kitchen, Nathan's men open fire. Gerard covers them, but he's hit. Dying, Gerard gives Chance a gun and says get the evidence from Connor Dunham at MacGowan's Pub. Victoria sobs as Chance pushes her out the door.

Winston and Guerrero find Tony and his ambulance outside his uncle's garage. Guerrero spots a sniper on a nearby roof. As they scramble inside, a gunman pops out, and Guerrero uses him as a shield against the sniper. Tony insists on helping the wounded thug. Guerrero finds a rifle with a scope. If they draw out the sniper, dude, he can take a shot.

Nathan checks the call log on Gerard's phone. Later, he texts Templeton about Gerard's contact at MacGowan's.

Chance and Victoria get into a cab, shadowed by a paparazzo. They're stuck in traffic. Victoria is not amused that the evidence is with an ex-IRA terrorist. Chance explains Gerard had to go to an outside party. She snaps that Dunham put a bounty on her head. When she was eight! Swarmed by photographers, they run and are spotted by Nathan and crew.

At a thrift shop, Chance disguises Victoria with a brunette wig and a trashy outfit. She tells Chance that, within ten minutes of meeting Tony, she realized she can never go back, even if it means turning her world upside-down and having everyone think she's crazy. They've never had what you and Tony have, says Chance. She thinks perhaps Chance has.

Tony finds a syringe of anesthetic on the injured thug. He was going to abduct Tony, not kill him. Why? They draw out the sniper, and Guerrero shoots him. Guerrero drive the ambulance as Tony tends the wounded thug, who apologizes and points to some letters stashed in the back. Tony's letters to Victoria. What's up with that?

At MacGowan's, Chance drops Gerard's name and asks the tall, bearded bartender about Connor Dunham. Victoria tells Chance that Tony made her see there's more to life than dinner parties and fencing lessons. The bartender leads them into the back room and pulls a gun. He's Connor.

Chance says Gerard's dead. Connor and his associate, Francis, thinks this is a setup. Victoria huffs that Gerard's trust in Connor is the only reason she hasn't emptied that gun into his ruddy Irish face. Connor realizes who she is. "Sorry for trying to kill ya all them years," he says mildly. Apology accepted.

Connor's recordings capture Templeton and Nathan discussing a stalker. Not exactly proof of a conspiracy, says Chance. Francis knocks, and Connor looks at Chance. Two knocks. Trouble. Nathan's men bust in. In the firefight, the computer is wrecked. There goes the evidence.

Chance learn about the letters from Winston and realizes Templeton planned to frame Tony as a stalker and pin the murder on him. They all have to get to the museum and tell the Queen together.

Chance and Victoria trip the silent alarm while breaking into the museum's east wing, full of medieval armor and weapons. Nathan and crew open fire, and Victoria battles Nathan with a sword. Chance grabs an ax and duels men wielding swords and a mace. Nathan gets ahold of Victoria, but Chance brings a scaffold down on him. Is she feeling better about those fencing lessons? Yes.

Templeton tries to hustle the Queen out, but Victoria gets her attention. When Walter goes to drag his wife away, Tony belts him. Tony and Victoria kiss. The Queen learns about the plot and thanks Chance.

Later, at HQ, Winston and Guerrero watch Victoria's wedding on TV. Guerrero brags about his fling with the daughter of a Masai warrior chief. Chance can vouch. Winston says he'll ask about it when Chance returns from the wedding.

But Chance isn't at the wedding. Disappointed, Victoria calls him. She asks the name of the woman who turned his world upside-down. "Katherine," he says. In fact, he's standing at her grave. The inscription is from Psalm 34:4: "I sought the Lord, and he answered me ..." The same thing Chance quoted at the Quebec monastery. He turns and walks away.
