Harper's Island Episode 1.09 Seep

Madison is still missing. J.D. is dead and Sheriff Mills is injured. At the clinic, Jimmy and Henry carry the body of J.D. in while Cal works on Sheriff Mills' wound. A bereft Henry leaves the clinic to check on Trish at the Candlewick Inn. When Henry arrives, he disarms an angry Shane who was looking for J.D. At the clinic, Abby looks through the burned journal of John Wakefield. Jimmy tells her of the similar pages he found on J.D.'s body which he gave to Henry. At the Candlewick, Henry gives Abby the additional pages which reveal that Abby's mother and John Wakefield had a child during their affair. Both Abby and the group speculate that she could be Wakefield's child. Abby reveals the anonymous cell phone calls she's received and the article on the Wakefield murders posted in her bathroom. Many in the group begin to turn on her, thinking that Abby is the reason their lives are in danger. Abby goes outside to get away from the innuendos and whispers. Jimmy convinces her to come back inside but Shane has locked them out and refuses to let them back into the Inn. Defending Abby, Henry attacks Shane and once again gains the upper hand. Once the fight has broken up, everyone realizes that Beth is missing. Sully's and Danny's search lead them to a blood trail in the pantry where they discover a tunnel built during prohibition. As they come to a fork in the tunnel, Henry, Abby, and Jimmy head one way and Sully and Danny take the other route. Each tunnel leads to a crawl space. Danny discovers Beth's bloodied body. As Abby inches her way through the other crawl space, an iron gate slams down behind her, blocking her way back. Fearful, Abby moves forward and discovers a room with Madison inside, unharmed. Abby grabs Madison and together they go through the tunnels, looking for a way out. Back at the Candlewick Inn, Katherine alerts Trish that Shea is missing. Trish knows that her sister is out looking for Madison so she takes Shane's truck to search for her. She finds Shea walking down the road and convinces her that together they'll search for Madison. As they drive down the road a hand sticks up from a manhole, signaling for help. They stop the truck, rush to the manhole and discover Abby with Madison. Shea and her daughter are reunited and they head back to the Inn. At the clinic, Cal and Chloe awake to find Sheriff Mills missing from his bed. As dawn approaches, Trish, Shea, Abby and Madison return to The Inn. Henry and the others are happy to see Madison safe and sound. Shane, thinking that Katherine is asleep, tries to wake her so she can see the reunion. He discovers that she's been stabbed to death. Madison asks Abby if she liked the game, saying, "He said you'd like it, the man who took me." When Abby asks who, she tells her it was her father, Sheriff Mills.
