Flower shop owner and San Diego surf girl Bella Bloom hosts her sister's bachelorette party, and after a night out drinking sets the entire party up with readings at a psychic boutique. When Bella gets her reading from the psychic, Marina, she is shocked to learn that she has only one year to get married, or she never will. What's more surprising is that she is destined to marry one of her ex-boyfriends, if she is to marry at all. Initially, Bella shakes off Marina's prophecy, but when other things she predicted come true, Bella embraces the concept that she needs to reconnect with her exes to find her true love. Following Marina's advice, Bella looks for signs pointing her to her true love, and ends up reconnecting with Johnny Diamont, a rocker who she had dumped years earlier because he was too clingy. Now, Johnny is a confident hottie who Bella is quickly willing to give another chance. However, as soon as they get back together Johnny reverts back to the way Bella remembers him, as a needy romantic, so Bella ask him to taper back his behavior. Later, Johnny plays a special song for Bella at one of his shows, but instead of a love ballad, Bella's song is all about Johnny seeking revenge against Bella for her dismissive attitude. Back at her apartment, Bella crosses Johnny off her ex list, and goes about listing as many exes as she can think of.
