ACT 1

Booth and Sweets share a drink at the Founding Fathers as Sweets goes on and on about Daisy. Booth thinks Sweets is too young to get married but Sweets has other plans for his life. "I don't want to be your age and wind up like you." He thinks it's sad that Booth has never been married. Booth is momentarily taken aback but he rebounds by telling Sweets that he is proposing to Hannah. Sweets is excited as he has already made the decision to propose to Daisy.

Brennan and Booth arrive at a crime scene on the roof of a warehouse. Booth admits he may be a bit hungover. They approach the skeleton of a male in his early twenties, covered in mold. Cam and Hodgins are already on scene. Booth notices a damaged section of the roof. Cam believes the victim caused the indentation. Drag marks indicate that someone moved the body to its final resting place behind the air conditioner. Cam informs the team that neither the killer nor the victim used the stairs. How did they get up here?

Fisher listens to the sounds of the ocean while Hodgins examines the mold on the Forensic Platform. Fisher explains that his doctor said soothing noises and herbal tea could improve his mood. Brennan arrives and Fisher shows her the X-rays. There are fractures on almost every bone.

ACT 2

While Hodgins removes the mold from the bones, Brennan tells Cam that she has found evidence of approximately one hundred and twenty remodeled breaks. Brennan instructs Fisher to begin cataloging the damage. Hodgins interrupts. He has identified the mold: Dog Vomit Slime Mold. It is obscuring a lot of their evidence but Hodgins found a chimney swift bed bug in the mold. He can use the mold and the bed bug to determine where the victim was before he died.

Hannah and Brennan have lunch with Booth at the Diner. He still isn't feeling well. He reports that Sweets got just as drunk. There was a hug. He won't give specifics about anything he and Sweets discussed. Angela arrives with a facial reconstruction of the victim. She believes he was a daredevil.

Cam tries to enjoy a snack at the Lab when Hodgins approaches. Oh no. Is he going to talk about bugs? Hodgins agrees to refer to the bed bugs as bunnies so she can continue to enjoy her food. There has been an outbreak of chimney swift bed bunnies at three motels on Lancing Avenue, which also had a mold outbreak. The health department was coming to pick up the infected mattress but a group of BMX bike riders stole them instead.

Booth, Brennan and Angela arrive at the BMX Park. They need Angela's assistance to create a new sketch, as her first one may not have been entirely accurate. Wheelie Pete Casriel, the park manager, has a cast on his right leg. He is a shining example of the fact that everyone around here is injured. He shows them the bike riders in the park and explains that the stunts they do are dangerous. Everyone breaks bones at one point or another. Angela sees some guys throwing the stolen mattresses onto the course. They use them so they have something soft to land on while perfecting stunts. Booth tries to stop some of the riders for questioning but they are too busy with their tricks to pay attention. Brennan runs onto the ramp, causing a rider named Ty Van Herweg to crash. Fortunately, he recognizes the victim in the sketch. Unfortunately, he has broken his leg.

ACT 3

Ty tells Booth, Brennan and Angela that the victim is D-Rott. Staci Barret rides up. She relays that D-Rott's real name was Dustin Rottenberg. He was the best rider on the East Coast. Staci and Ty explain that Dustin was trying to get sponsorship by filming stunts in the Navy Yards. He was working on jumping from roof to roof. Staci designed a ramp for him but the design wasn't finished. He shouldn't have used it. Ty asks about D-Rott's bike. It was awesome and he will pay anything for it. Booth realizes they never found a bike.

Angela and Hodgins discuss their baby at the Lab. Angela never wants her child to do anything dangerous that may result in a broken bone. Hodgins has big dreams for his child. They include careers as a professional musician, an astrophysicist and a comedian. Angela thinks a mad scientist is a good career path...just like Hodgins. She is distracted by the mold. Hodgins is preparing to shake it through filters until he finds evidence.

Booth and Sweets meet Noel Lifton at the FBI. Booth is hiring Noel to locate D-Rott's missing bike. Booth shows him a video of the bike and Noel is on the job.

Fisher drinks herbal tea on the Forensic Platform when Brennan arrives. Fisher wants to run off to use the bathroom but Brennan needs an update. Now. Fisher uncomfortably reports that the cause of death is internal decapitation. Blunt force trauma snapped the neck. Brennan is pleased. She allows Fisher to go to the bathroom.

Booth meets Noel outside a hot dog stand. He found the bike and a tasty hot dog. Noel points to Orlando Morales. Orlando notices that Booth and Noel are watching him. He tries to take off on his bike but doesn't get very far thanks to a passing car and a collision with Noel. No one is hurt except for Noel's hot dog.

ACT 4

Booth interrogates Orlando at the FBI. He had eight fake IDs on him. Is he also a murderer? Orlando sells fake IDs for $100 but he didn't murder anyone. He found the bike. It was beat up so he took it. He didn't know it was worth $2000. It was lying on the ground between two buildings in the Navy Yards.

Cam and Brennan ask Angela to perform a post-mortem on the bicycle. She should treat it just like a skeleton, using each scratch to recreate the accident. They can then determine if this death was truly a murder or just a stunt gone wrong.

In the Ookey Room, Hodgins discovers a bone fragment in the sifted mold. Fisher takes the find and turns to leave but not before Hodgins pulls off his headphones in protest.

In Angela's Office, Angela uses a toy bike and a toy rider to show Brennan her findings. She ran a number of scenarios using the information garnered from the skeleton and the bike. The crash does cause the bike to fall off the building, landing in the alley where Orlando found it. However, it does not cause the internal decapitation. This was no accident...this was murder.

Hodgins presents Cam with all the particulates he found in the mold, including some unusual glass splinters. Fisher enters with news: the bone fragment was in actuality a tooth. Hodgins notices how discolored it is, prompting Cam to suggest tetracycline as a cause. Fisher agrees, adding that it comes from someone who is 23 or 24 years old. Their murderer is someone in their mid twenties with acne scarring and a missing tooth.

ACT 5

Ty Van Herweg, outfitted with crutches and a cast, sits at the FBI. Booth has his medical records and knows he used tetracycline. Booth believes that Ty murdered Dustin in order to remove his competition and get sponsorship. They found his tooth on the victim. Ty has an explanation: it's a souvenir. He and Dustin got into a fight one day and beat each other so badly, they both lost teeth. Dustin kept one of Ty's teeth as a memento and Ty kept one of Dustin's. It was a joke between them. Dustin and Ty were friends.

Brennan joins Fisher in the Bone Room. He's found glass in the fatal wound. Hodgins also found glass splinters in the mold. Brennan believes it looks like a thread that was left behind by the weapon. Hodgins should analyze it right away.

Booth and Sweets pick out engagement rings at the jewelry store. Sweets explains that he needs a new ring for Daisy because she was forced to swallow the last one in Indonesia. He doesn't feel it's romantic to propose with a ring that has been in the toilet. The saleswoman approaches. Booth indicates an expensive ring while Sweets chooses something more modest. When the saleswoman doesn't support his choice, Sweets is deterred. Maybe he isn't ready to get married. Booth is not backing out. He finally picks a ring...it's a big one. Sweets and the saleswoman are moved.

Angela talks with Staci Barret at the BMX Park. She used Staci's design but couldn't determine how Dustin got enough speed to cause the damage to the roof. Staci realizes Dustin made the jump from the ground. Someone towed him onto a ramp at a speed of 40 miles per hour. Whoever towed him was the last person to see him alive.

ACT 6

At the Lab, the Squints watch a recreation of the accident. Dustin is towed onto a ramp. He flips in the air but crashes onto the roof while his bike falls off the edge of the building. Hodgins confirms that the glass thread found in the mold matches the remnants found on the mandible. It is fiberglass, the kind used in casts. They are looking for someone with a broken bone, most likely a broken leg due to the force it would take to cause the injuries. Angela can only remember one person that had a broken leg.

Booth sits with Peter Casriel in the Interrogation Room. They found Dustin's DNA on Pete's cast. Pete relents, admitting the truth. He towed Dustin in his van but when he went to check on him, climbing onto the roof with a rope ladder, Dustin was severely injured. He was also angry. Dustin took a swing and started a fight. Pete finished it with a kick to the jaw.

Booth waits in the park for Hannah. She arrives, dressed for a fancy dinner. Booth can't contain himself. He pulls out the ring and proposes. "Marry me. I want you to be my wife." Hannah doesn't have the response Booth is looking for. She isn't the marrying kind. She wants to go back to the way things were before the proposal. She wants to go out to dinner. Hannah can see that Booth wants her to move out. As she walks away, she tells Booth that she still loves him. She thinks they may have another shot at their relationship though she sees it is over for now. Booth tosses the engagement ring into the river.

Booth goes drinking at the Founding Fathers. He drinks until he is the last person there. Brennan arrives and sits beside him. Hannah called her and told her what happened. Booth doesn't want to talk about it. He realizes that women do not want what he has to give. First, Rebecca rejected him, then Brennan and now Hannah. He is mad and he is giving Brennan two choices: she can stay here and be his partner, have a drink and some small talk or she can leave and Booth will find her a new partner in the morning. Brennan chooses to have a drink.
