AceShowbiz - Fashion designer Marc Jacobs is recovering after undergoing a hair transplant. Jacobs has revealed he underwent the operation in May, just weeks after splitting from longtime partner Lorenzo Martone.

And the tattooed designer admits the surgery was the most painful thing he has even experienced. He tells Details magazine, "I couldn't sleep on my side, and I couldn't put my head back."

Beside talking about his hair transplant, Marc Jacobs also reveals that he always gets his teeth whitened once a year. He, however, prefers to go to his own dentist rather than to a teeth-whitening spa, saying "I feel like my teeth belong to him." He admits that he likes to use Rembrandt toothpaste formulated for smokers and a non-alcohol-based mouthwash.
