But M.I.A. was left stunned when 200 members of the audience clamored over the barriers and officials decided to end her set early. A statement from festival organizers reads, "A spokesperson for M.I.A. thanked the wonderful audience at the Big Chill for the fantastic reception received."
"And apologized for having to cut the set short due to overwhelming demand for fans to come on stage when only a few were expected." No injuries were reported in the incident.
