The publishers reportedly were inspired to feature him in 'The Beano' after seeing her in an outfit which is similar to the character's.
Cheryl Cole is getting animated - the singer is set to appear in long-running British children's comic "The Beano". The 26-year-old pop star will appear as a singing sidekick to bad girl character Minnie the Minx in a series of upcoming summer issues, which will also feature England soccer ace Wayne Rooney.
A Beano spokesman says: "Minnie the Minx will be meeting Cheryl and Wayne in a run of stories which will coincide with the school summer holidays. They are both hugely popular with readers and I'm sure they'll be thrilled at the prospect of them coming face to face with a British institution, in the shape of Minnie."
Publishers at D.C. Thomson & Co. Ltd were reportedly inspired to feature the pop star after seeing her in an Alexander McQueen-designed red-and-black striped outfit - the same colours red-haired Minnie wears - in the video for her hit single "Fight for This Love".
