Hayley gets overwhelmed with emotion as the audience erupts in cheers after she performs alongside her husband on the opening night of their 'Symphony of Dance' tour.

AceShowbiz - Hayley Erbert, the wife of "Dancing with the Stars" dancer Derek Hough, has made a miraculous recovery and returned to the stage just four months after undergoing emergency brain surgery. Erbert performed alongside her husband on the opening night of their "Symphony of Dance" tour in Melbourne, Florida, and was visibly overwhelmed by the audience's enthusiastic reception.

In December 2023, Erbert became disoriented during a performance in Washington, D.C. and was rushed to the hospital. She was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel and underwent an emergency craniectomy. The 29-year-old dancer later had another surgery to replace a large portion of her skull.

"My healing journey has been nothing short of extraordinary and being able to dance again is igniting my soul in all the ways; speeding up my recovery even more," Erbert said after being medically cleared to return to the tour.

On stage, Erbert performed several elaborate numbers with Hough, including their first romantic dance to Forest Blakk's "Fall Into Me (Acoustic)". A video captured by TikTok user @jess_on_mainstreet showed Erbert overwhelmed with emotion as the audience erupted in cheers.

"Went in a Derek Hough fan and came out a bigger fan of Hayley," @jess_on_mainstreet wrote. "She is such an inspirational woman...[It was] the most incredible show I've ever seen."

Hough, 38, stood proudly behind his wife, leading the applause. The couple, who wed in August 2023, has remained supportive of each other throughout Erbert's recovery.

Erbert expressed her gratitude to her doctors and specialists for ensuring her health and safety. She also thanked her fans for their support, saying, "I cannot wait for you all to see this show! It was so meaningful when we opened last year and now, after everything that has happened, it is truly even more special."

"The Symphony of Dance Tour" will continue with dates in Florida, Georgia, Illinois and South Carolina. Hough will also return as a judge on the 33rd season of "Dancing with the Stars", which premieres on ABC/Disney+ this September.
