The 'Peacemaker' actor shares his two cents on why the 'Fast and Furious' lead actor clashed with the 'Black Adam' star on set of the action movie franchise.

AceShowbiz - John Cena has shared his observations on the longstanding feud between his "Fast & Furious" costar Vin Diesel and fellow WWE wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

During Cena's appearance on Dax Shepard's "Armchair Expert" podcast, Shepard brought up rumors of tension between Johnson and Diesel. Cena acknowledged the rumors, stating, "You have two very alpha, driven people. You get two, there can only be one."

Cena joined the "Fast" franchise in 2021 as Jakob Toretto, Dom's estranged brother, after Johnson's departure from the movies amid rumors of a rift with Diesel. Cena explained that he "read the room" after arriving on set and adapted to the behind-the-scenes dynamics.

"This is one IP that has had nine installments, and it's an action movie," Cena said. "That's rarefied air. ... At the very least, there has to be respect for that."

Despite the feud between Johnson and Diesel, Cena emphasized that he remained respectful of the franchise's legacy and his place as a guest. "I'm not trying to get in the sandbox," he said. "I'm just trying to be the best fire truck I can."

The feud between Johnson and Diesel reportedly began in 2016 when Johnson posted a cryptic Instagram message hinting at conflict with an unnamed costar. Johnson has since regretted posting the message but has not taken back his comments. Diesel has publicly appealed for Johnson's return to the franchise, but Johnson has declined.

Despite their differences, Johnson made a post-credits cameo in "Fast X," teasing his possible return for the final installments. Director Louis Leterrier attributed the reconciliation to the movie itself.
