AceShowbiz - Paramore continued to add fuel to their breakup rumors. The rock band announced that they've decided to pull out of some festivals in Latin America, but they promised to see fans "in the next era."
The cancellation was announced through the group's Instagram Story on Thursday, January 18. "Due to unforeseen circumstances, Paramore can no longer attend and perform at Vive Latino in Mexico City, Festival Estereo Picnic in Bogota, and Lollapalooza Brazil in Sao Paulo," the statement read.
"In their place, Kings of Leon have been confirmed," the message added. "Paramore thanks them and apologizes for any inconvenience. They will see you in the next era."
Paramore previously confirmed that they wouldn't perform at the iHeartRadio ALTer EGO concert in Los Angeles on January 13. "Due to unforeseen circumstances, Paramore can no longer attend and perform at iHeartRadio ALTer EGO on January 13. The band apologises for any inconvenience," a social media statement on the band's Instagram Story read.
Paramore, comprising Hayley Williams, 35, Zac Farro, 33, and Taylor York, 34, sparked split rumors in December 2023. At the time, they wiped their social media profiles clean and took their official website offline.
In a recent interview with Uproxx, Paramore admitted that there is a "level of uncertainty" about their future. Hayley said, "The only thing that matters is we will still get to be each other's community." Zac added, "I just hope we can keep building the Paramore empire and then rule the world."
The trio were keen to "get back to making things" after releasing their sixth album, "This Is Why", in February last year. Hayley once said, "Zac, Taylor, and I just want to get back to making things. We've been craving that for a while now. Not only the creative process but the layer(s) of insulation that can come with the creative process."
