AceShowbiz - Waka Flocka Flame is feeling happy these days, but not showing it, no thanks to public's response. The rapper, who recently confirmed his relationship with Big MeL, claims that he's forced to suppress his emotions following backlash on his new romance.

The "Hard in da Paint" emcee took to his Instagram Story on Thursday, January 18 to vent out his frustration. He wrote on a black screen, "one of the toughest pills to swallow in life for me is I gotta hide my happiness.... man i'm built for it but this s**t stinging."

Waka did not explain what caused him to feel that way, but his statement arrived just a week after he received negative feedback on his relationship with Big MeL. Earlier this month, the 37-year-old introduced his new girlfriend via Instagram.

At the time, he posted a picture of the pair looking carefree as they posed in front of a small plane. The "Grove St. Party" emcee declared his love for his new leading lady in the caption, writing, "Crazy bout Big MeL," and adding a heart emoji.

However, not everyone was ready to see Waka dating someone new, after he split from his ex-wife Tammy Rivera in 2022. Comparing the two women, one commented on the post, "Idk but I feel like only Tammy is for waka. I love Tammy & imma stick beside her."

Another pleaded, "We want you to go back home sir." Another claimed, "Tammy look better." A fourth also mocked his new girlfriend as saying, "Lmao Tammy looks better sorry and more natural and way prettier."

Waka's daughter Charlie quickly jumped to his defense, writing in the comment, "Leave my father alone he is happy and my mother is happy both in separate relationships." Waka himself has clapped back at the haters, imploring, "If y'all really loved me and Tammy respectfully can y'all respect our personal life's."
