AceShowbiz - Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith continue to show there's no animosity between them following her shocking revelations about their marriage. The estranged couple has been spotted all smiles at the 70th birthday celebration for Jada's mom Adrienne Banfield-Norris.
On Thursday, October 19, both Will and Jada made use of their respective Instagram page to share pictures from the party. In the images, the two appeared in good spirits while posing together with other family members, including their kids Jaden Smith and Willow Smith. Will's eldest son Trey Smith, whom he shares with ex-wife Sheree Zampino, was also present at the soiree.
Will and Jada were also seen happily clapping and cheering on the birthday girl, who stood close to her birthday cake. In another snap, Jada was seen embracing her mother Adrienne.
"Happy 70th, Gam Bam!!" Will simply captioned the photos posted on his account. Meanwhile, Jada wrote alongside the pictures, "Gammy turned 70 years young yesterday!!! Gam Bam you look 30! We are going to celebrate all year! I love you!!! Happy Birthday again!"
The photos arrive just one day after Will and Jada made their first public appearance together in the wake of her shocking revelations about their relationship. On Wednesday, the actress participated in the Brown Lecture series at the Enoch Pratt free Library in Baltimore to promote her upcoming memoir "Worthy".
During one part of the program, Will and their two children joined the "Red Table Talk" host onstage. Putting his arm around his wife's shoulders, the Oscar winner said he wanted to come "and hold it down for you the way you have held it down for me," as quoted by the Baltimore Sun. He admitted that their relationship has been "very long and tumultuous" over the last 30 years. "We call it 'brutiful,' " he added. "It was brutal and beautiful at the same time."
Assuring that he's currently in a good state, the 55-year-old told the crowd, "As I stand here before you today, I am happier than I've ever been in my entire life. I have achieved every single thing I have ever wanted in my entire life. There is not one thing left that I desire in this world-all of the awards, all of the money, the family-everything I've ever dreamed."
He went on crediting Jada for his achievements, saying that his dreams were "largely built on the foundation of Jada's sacrifices." Declaring his unwavering support for the mother of his two children, he continued, "Can you show up and love somebody for the rest of your life, even when you don't agree with them? Jada is the best friend I have ever had on this planet and I am going to show up for her and support her for the rest of my life."
Weighing on Will's appearance at the event, body language expert Judi James alleged that Will had an ulterior motive while speaking at the event. "Will is clearly appearing here to support his wife but there is a familiar look to his body language that suggests he is actually enjoying the attention these current revelations are giving him," Judi said to The Mirror.
She explained, "Will often looks like a big kid who still adores showing off when there is a camera around and with his brows raised, his mouth wide open and the mic firmly in his hand here it looks like very little has changed. He could be one of Jada's children and she does appear to gaze up at him like a proud adoring mum."
