October 07, 2009 09:10:07Young and famous, Jaden Smith and Willow Smith, lend their celebrity status to help raise awareness of AIDS epidemic in Africa. The siblings are serving as youth ambassadors of Hasbro's Project Zambi, a global initiative "dedicated to raise awareness for the 15 million children who have lost parents and relatives to the AIDS epidemic in Africa", Us Weekly reports.
"Willow and I joined Project Zambi to represent all the kids out there who want to make the world a better place," 11-year-old Jayden says in a statement. "We want to encourage kids everywhere to lend a hand and join us in spreading the word about how much children who have been orphaned by AIDS in Africa need our help."

September 18, 2009 12:09:21The first pictures from the set of "Kung Fu Kid", a loose remake to 1984 hit "The Karate Kid", have surfaced. Put out by Spoiler TV, the set photos center their attention to two of its major characters, Jaden Smith's Dre and his Kung Fu mentor, Jackie Chan's Mr. Han. The series of images capture the two shooting for training sequence on a misty dock.
In this updated version of "Karate Kid", Jaden takes the role of a boy who moves to Beijing with his mother. There, he'll encounter a bully situation similar to what Daniel LaRusso, the main character in "Karate Kid" faced. Learning how to stand up for himself, the teenager gets a helping hand from an eccentric mentor.
Star-Studded New York City Premiere of 'The Day the Earth Stood Still'

Using AMC Loews Lincoln Square, New York as the place the special screening took place on Tuesday, December 9, the premiere saw many Hollywood stars walking down the red carpet.
Those attending the events included the film's cast ensemble, Keanu Reeves, Jennifer Connelly, Jaden Smith, Jon Hamm and Kathy Bates, as well as director Scott Derrickson. They were joined by celebrity guests from Jaden's parents, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith, to WWE star-turned-actor John Cena and television actress Jennifer Westfeldt.

According to Variety, the son of Hollywood superstar Will Smith has been tapped to star in "Untitled Karate Kid Remake", a "refashioned" remake of 1984 hit martial arts movie "The Karate Kid".
The remake project will have Jerry Weintraub and Overbrook Entertainment's James Lassiter, Will and Ken Stovitz as the new film's producers. Its script is being worked on by Chris Murphy, while the movie itself is scheduled to be shot in Beijing and other cities in 2009. It is said that the story will keep its essential plot elements, a bullied teenager learning to stand up for himself with the help of an eccentric mentor.
Will Smith Producing 'Amulet' for His Kids to Star?

Reportedly, the son and daughter to the "Ali" star will be playing brother and sister in the Warner Bros. Pictures' family adventure drama.
The film that is set to be released sometime in 2010 will be adapted from Kazu Kibuishi's graphic novel. Variety reported that the film revolves around the siblings who were forced to use their late great-grandfather's amulet to help their mother from an underground beast following their move to his home.

Though the speculation of him starring in the sci-fi thriller remake has broken out earlier, Hollywood Reporter has just given out the confirmation.
According to the site, the young star in "The Pursuit of Happyness", in which he played opposite his father, will be playing Jacob, the rebellious 8-year-old son of scientist Helen Benson who first makes contact with a humanoid alien Klaatu. Smith will also be joining the star studded cast consisting of Jennifer Connelly, Keanu Reeves, Kathy Bates and the Golden Globe winner Jon Hamm.

The teens finally made their choices on their most favorites this year as the 2007 Teen Choice Awards delightfully listed out its winners in the ceremony taking place Sunday night (August 26) at Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Coming out as the big winner in movie categories was summer blockbuster flick "Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End" for it not only was named Choice Movie: Action Adventure but also led its stars Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, and Bill Nighy to take the titles of best action adventure actor, actress, and villain, respectively.

Summer sure is still a great period to celebrate an award event and for young generation of moviegoers, it's undoubtedly the time to once again get to know who and what come out as the best at MTV Movie Awards this year, held Sunday, June 3 at Universal City's Gibson Amphitheatre.
Taking the spotlight during the ceremony was Walt Disney Pictures' "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" which not only got deemed Best Movie, but also won its lead star Johnny Depp the Best Performance honor. However, the big winner turned out to be Sacha Baron Cohen as the British actor triumphantly swept two golden popcorns in Best Comedic Performance for "Borat" and Best Kiss for "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby", the latter being shared with fellow funnyman Will Ferrell.
