Ryan Reynolds Unveils First Look at Josh Brolin's Cable in 'Deadpool 2'

The Merc with a Mouth depicter shares on Twitter a couple of photos featuring Brolin as the time-travelling mutant who sports a bionic arm.

AceShowbiz - First look at Josh Brolin as Cable in "Deadpool 2" has been unveiled by Ryan Reynolds. The Merc with a Mouth depicter took to his Twitter account on Monday, August 7 to share a couple of photos featuring Brolin suiting up as the time-travelling mutant.

The first picture is a close-up shot of the character's face as well as his bionic arm. "We all have that one, grumpy, heavily armed Uncle from the future," Reynolds funnily wrote alongside the post, adding the hashtags, "#PremiumCABLE #JoshBrolin."

The other photo is a wider shot that shows Cable's massive weapon which is slung over his shoulder. He rocks a military getup and his signature bionic eye, with a teddy bear attached to his waist. Reynolds captioned the post, "DeadPool 2: Your premium #Cable provider. #DeadPool2."

Reynolds sharing the first look at Cable comes a week after the actor revealed the first-look pic of Zazie Beetz's Domino in the "Deadpool" sequel. In the comics, she is best known as a member the mutant team X-Force as well as the love interest of Cable.

"Deadpool 2" is currently filming in Vancouver with David Leitch serving behind the lens. The script is provided by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the writing duo behind the first film. Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller and Leslie Uggams are among the original cast members returning for the film which is set for a June 1, 2018 release in the U.S.
