Vera Farmiga Set to Star as Millie Bobby Brown's On-Screen Mother in 'Godzilla 2'

The 'Bates Motel' actress will portray Brown's on-screen mother in the 'Godzilla: King of Monsters', which is set to be released in U.S. theaters on March 22, 2019.

AceShowbiz - Vera Farmiga joins "Stranger Things" star Millie Bobby Brown to star in "Godzilla: King of Monsters". "The Conjuring 2" alum will portray Brown's on-screen mother, while the role of the father will be played by "Manchester by the Sea" actor Kyle Chandler.

"Krampus" showrunner Michael Dougherty will direct the follow-up to Legendary and Warner Bros.' 2014 monster movie, "Godzilla". The 42-year-old helmer also serves as co-writer alongside Zach Shields. However, plot details remain secret.

"Godzilla: King of Monsters" is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on March 22, 2019. It will reportedly be leading up to a crossover with "King Kong" which will return to the big screen in "Kong: Skull Island" on March 10. Meanwhile, "Godzilla vs. Kong" is slated to be released on May 29, 2020.

Farmiga can currently be seen in the fifth and final season of "Bates Motel", in which she stars as Norma Bates, the mother of Freddie Highmore's Norman Bates. Farmiga's role on the horror drama has earned her an Emmy nomination.

The Oscar-nominated actress will soon be seen opposite Christopher Plummer in road trip drama "Boundaries" as well as the upcoming action-thriller film "The Commuter", starring Liam Neeson and Sam Neill. Farmiga's movie credits include "Burn Your Maps", "The Judge", "The Conjuring", "Safe House", "Source Code" and "Orphan".
