'Astro Boy' Lands in L.A. for Premiere
October 20, 2009 02:10:53A week shy of its theatrical release, "Astro Boy" has got a red carpet treatment for its Los Angeles premiere. Held Monday, October 19, the special screening event took place at Mann Chinese 6 and was made merry with the attendance of a life-size Astro Boy to greet the stars upon their arrivals at the red carpet.
Three of the major voice cast, Freddie Highmore, Kristen Bell and Bill Nighy, were spotted attending the premiere and posing with the Astro Boy for the press. While Nicolas Cage who provides voice to Dr. Tenma wasn't seen around, other voice cast members like Eugene Levy, Madeline Carroll, Moises Arias and Sterling Beaumon were present.
Full Thursday Comic Con 2009 Schedule Released
July 10, 2009 01:07:43San Diego Comic Con International has finally come up with the full schedule for the first full day of Comic Con 2009. From the programming list, it is revealed that Summit Entertainment as well as Walt Disney Pictures will be among those presenting their latest line-up of upcoming movies, such as "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" and "Alice in Wonderland", on Thursday, July 23.
Summit will make use of Hall H from 2:15 P.M. to 3:15 P.M. to give a special presentation as well as unveil exclusive footage of their three feature projects, "Astro Boy", "Sorority Row" and "New Moon". Especially for "New Moon", it is mentioned that surprise members of the cast will attend the presentation to answer questions.
'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' Star to Voice 'Astro Boy'
February 29, 2008 04:02:04"Astro Boy" now has a voice. Variety reported that the star of "The Spiderwick Chronicles" Freddie Highmore has been set to fill in the lead character's voice in the 3-D animation film.
"Boy" is a lonely robot tale adapted from a classic Japanese comic book created by Osamu Tezuka. The Warner Bros. Pictures' film is said to be made with the budget of $50 million and handled under the direction of "Flushed Away" director David Bowers.

Leading lady Keri Russell looked fresh yet elegant in classic black dress while her co-star Jonathan Rhys-Meyers showed off his newly shorn look as he casually walked down the red carpet alongside longtime girlfriend Reena Hammer. Other cast members spotted to also attend the screening were Robin Williams and child actor Freddie Highmore who portrays the title character.
Highmore & Bolger Added to the Cast of "The Spiderwick Chronicles"

Paramount Pictures' new film project, "The Spiderwick Chronicles", which will been shooting Sept. 12 in Montreal, will have at least two additional cast. They are Freddie Highmore and Sarah Bolger who both have been cast as the three Grace children.
Of fantasy, adventure, and drama genre, "The Spiderwick Chronicles" follows the three Grace children move to the ancient Spiderwick mansion, where they discover Brownie, an enchanted creature who introduces them to a world of goblins, fairies and sprites.
