The 21-year-old singer/songwriter reveals attention-grabbing artwork for her debut album, which is set for release in January 2017.

AceShowbiz - Kehlani has shared the artwork and release date for her debut album, "SweetSexySavage", via her Instagram page. She said that the album would arrive on January 27, 2017 and would be available for pre-order this week.

The artwork, which was created by artists Brick and James McCloud, finds the singer in front of a pink-and-orange sky backdrop. The Bay Area singer is seen topless while looking confidently at the camera. The album title "SweetSexySavage" is written above her in cursive font.

After sharing the news, Kehlani took to Twitter to explain the inspiration behind the album title. She wrote that the album title was a symbol of women, "As women we are told that we cannot be multi layered.. we are put in boxes.. we can't be all the above.. reclaim yourself. #SWEETSEXYSAVAGE." She added, "But really.. it's me reclaiming myself. Me accepting myself. Good & bad. All the way around. It's me. Thank you for loving me. #SSS."

Kehlani took to Twitter to share the title of her debut album on November 27, just a few days after dropping colorful music video for her latest single "Distraction". The 21-year-old singer previously released "CRZY" as the lead single from the album on July 15.

"SweetSexySavage" serves as the follow-up to Kehlani's mixtape "You Should Be Here", which was self-released through iTunes Store on April 28, 2015.
