'I was obsessed with my child. I felt very inadequate; I felt like I'd made the worst decision of my life,' the singer says of the postpartum depression she had after welcoming first child Angelo.

AceShowbiz - Adele has no plan to expand her family. The British beauty says no to having another child due to a very bad postpartum depression she suffered from after giving birth to her first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki, Angelo.

Speaking to Vanity Fair for it's December issue, Adele shares that the postpartum depression she had was frightening. "My knowledge of postpartum - or post-natal, as we call it in England - is that you don't want to be with your child; you're worried you might hurt your child; you're worried you weren't doing a good job," she explains. "But I was obsessed with my child. I felt very inadequate; I felt like I'd made the worst decision of my life."

Adele didn't openly talk about the PPD nor try to seek treatment for it. "I didn't talk to anyone about it. I was very reluctant," she recalls. "My boyfriend said I should talk to other women who were pregnant, and I said, 'F**k that, I ain't hanging around with a f**kin' bunch of mothers.' Then, without realizing it, I was gravitating towards pregnant women and other women with children, because I found they're a bit more patient."

But having a conversation with a friend who went through the same thing was what really helped her cope with the PPD. "My friends who didn't have kids would get annoyed with me, whereas I knew I could just sit there and chat absolute mush with my friends who had children, and we wouldn't judge each other," she says. "One day I said to a friend, 'I f**kin' hate this,' and she just burst into tears and said, 'I f**kin' hate this, too.' And it was done. It lifted."

While she has ruled out the possibility of having more kids, Adele doesn't have to worry about her son being lonely because he has a half-sibling. Konecki is also a dad to a daughter from his previous relationship. "That's my get-out-of-jail free card," the "Hello" hitmaker jokes.
