Following the cancellation, which was caused by 'severe weather,' the rapper has appeared at Hot 97's Summer Jam in New Jersey and will play a show in Manhattan at 2 A.M.

AceShowbiz - Many were left upset when organizers decided to cancel the third day of this year's Governors Ball. A bunch of acts lined up for the Sunday, June 5 event had to scrap their respective sets at the annual festival due to "severe weather."

However, many of the performers including Kanye West won't let Mother Nature keep their fans from having fun as they've scheduled makeup shows for Sunday night. The rapper, who was supposed to headline the festival, headed to Hot 97's Summer Jam in New Jersey and made a surprise appearance alongside his G.O.O.D. Music labelmates as well as Pusha T and Big Sean.

His frequent collaborator Virgil Abloh has also revealed via Instagram that the "Black Skinhead" rapper will be playing another show somewhere in Manhattan. He will bring his latest album "The Life of Pablo" to a yet-to-be-announced venue at 2 A.M.

The third day of Governors Ball was also set to include performances by Courtney Barnett, Chvrches, Death Cab for Cutie, Eagles of Death Metal and more. The cancellation was announced in a statement that read, "Sunday, June 5th of Gov Ball 2016 has officially been cancelled, due to severe weather and a high likelihood of lightning in the area. The safety of fans, artists and crew always comes first."

Many disappointed fans then vented their frustration on social media. Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian was one of them. She took to Instagram on Sunday to share a photo of her apparently getting ready for the event. She captioned it, "So sad Governors Ball is cancelled due to weather."
