AceShowbiz - Production on "Marvel's Iron Fist" kicked off in New York City on Monday, April 18. Fans didn't have to wait for too long to find out what Finn Jones would look like as Danny Rand because some photos of the actor on the filming set landed online later in the day via a fan's Tumblr.
In the pictures, the "Game of Thrones" star is shown barefoot, sporting beard and walking alone around the town in his civilian outfit while carrying a backpack. However, none of the images features him in his full Iron Fist costume.
"Iron Fist" is scheduled to debut on Netflix sometime in 2017. It will center on martial artist Danny as he returns to New York City after missing for years to find people responsible for the death of his parents. He fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
The series will also star "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" actress Jessica Henwick and "Lord of the Rings" actor David Wenham. Variety reports Tom Pelphrey ("Banshee") and Jessica Stroup ("90210") have just been added to the cast to play Ward Meachum and his sister Joy, respectively. The siblings have helped build Rand Enterprises up into a conglomerate, but their future there is in jeopardy after Danny returns to claim his birthright.
