After releasing her latest LP 'A.K.A.' through Capitol, J.Lo leaves the label to reunite with friend and Epic's boss L.A. Reid.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lopez is officially back to Epic Records. Multiple reports say that the ageless diva has left Capitol Records to reunite with longtime friend and Epic's chairman/CEO L.A. Reid. J.Lo herself confimed her return with a tweet that read, "Heading Back Home!!"

According to Us Weekly, she has signed a multi-album contract with the label owned by Sony Music. A source told the news outlet that she celebrated the deal with a dinner with Reid and her manager Benny Medina at Il Mulino on Monday, March 1. "Jennifer and L.A. are longtime friends, and they love working together," the source added.

Meanwhile, Reid commented on J.Lo's move in a statement to Billboard. "I'm thrilled to welcome Jennifer back home with me to Epic Records," he said. "Jennifer is a true global icon with a magnetism that sears across music, film, and TV and I'm excited to be working together again."

Lopez has released six albums, including 2001's "J.Lo" that remains her biggest-seller, via Epic Records between 1999 and 2007. She left the label in 2010 to join Reid at Universal Music Group's Island Def Jam. She dropped her latest studio effort, 2014's "A.K.A.", through Capitol.

For now, it's unclear when her first project under the new deal with Epic will be released, though there's been rumor claiming she'll have a new single coming out in April. The 46-year-old star is currently busy with her new TV show "Shades of Blue" and her successful Las Vegas residency.
