Now that they apparently have buried the hatchet, 'Ye talked to Ray and his sister Brandy about the lyrics before debuting the 'Life of Pablo' song.

AceShowbiz - In addition to "Famous" on which he allegedly attacks Taylor Swift, Kanye West gets people talking with another "The Life of Pablo" cut called "Highlights" that finds him name-dropping Ray J. After many interpreted the song as a diss directed at the R&B singer, whom 'Ye once feuded with over Kim Kardashian, a new report emerged claiming that the two recently talked to make sure there was no beef between them.

On "Highlights", Kanye raps about a friendship with Ray that never happened because of Kim. He spits at one point on the song, "Me and Ray J would probably be friends if we wasn't in love with the same b***h ... you might have hit it first, but I'm rich, though."

According to TMZ, Kanye called Ray and told him about the track before he debuted it during his Yeezy 3 fashion show on Friday, February 12. The site added that 'Ye also met Ray's sister Brandy and called his manager David Weintraub to let them know that he didn't mean to hurt and disrespect Ray. Everyone's reportedly cool with the lyrics.

Kanye and Ray are seemingly on good terms now. They were embroiled in a war a few years ago after Ray, with whom Kim made her infamous sex tape, bragged about his relationship with the reality TV star on 2013's "I Hit It First".

While everyone's still talking about him being mentioned on "Highlights", Ray has released a new track called "Real Life Playa". He apparently addresses Kanye's lyrics about him on the song featuring Payso B. "Haters wanna know how I feel," sings Ray. "Man, a n***a feel good. And if I only had one wish, man, I wish a n***a would."
