After spending eight non-consecutive weeks at No. 2 behind Adele's '25' single, the 'Purpose' hit finally gives the Biebs his second No. 1 record on the chart.

AceShowbiz - "Sorry" Adele, but you should say "Hello" to the new ruler of Billboard Hot 100. After spending eight non-consecutive weeks at No. 2, seven of which were consecutive, Justin Bieber's single finally reaches the chart's top slot this week and dethrones the British singer's monstrous hit that has spent its first 10 weeks at the summit.

"Sorry" gives Bieber his second No. 1 song on the Hot 100. His previous chart-topper was "What Do You Mean?" that made its debut atop the list last September. "Love Yourself", another stand-out from his "Purpose" album, is currently sitting at No. 3 and may be the 21-year-old's next No. 1 record.

Billboard notes that "Sorry" ties with Outkast's "The Way You Move" for the longest wait at No. 2. The hip-hop duo also had eight weeks at the runner-up slot back in 2003-2004 before claiming the No. 1 spot.

After getting kicked of out Hot 100's No. 1, Adele's "Hello" falls to No. 2. She, however, refuses to give up her throne on Billboard 200, where her records-breaking "25" album remains at No. 1 in its seventh consecutive week.
