'American Horror Story: Hotel' Recap: And the Ten Commandments Killer Is ...
TV

The latest episode answers the long burning question and reveals how this character became the Ten Commandments Killer.

AceShowbiz - The mystery is solved on "American Horror Story: Hotel". The Ten Commandments Killer was revealed early in the latest episode and he's none other than [SPOILER ALERT!] Det. John Lowe, whom many have guessed to be the killer Lowe himself has been looking for.

John learns of his true self as he heads back to the Hotel Cortez after Wren, whom he broke out of a mental hospital, died. Sally takes John to Room 64 which she claims provides answers to his questions. There, John sees the trophies the Ten Commandments Killer keeps from his crimes. Sally explains that March had been looking for a successor and he found it in John. "It's you, John. It's always been you," she says.

John then recalls how it began five years ago, when he first set foot in the hotel. He met March and March was immediately impressed by John. They talked about life and death. To shove him over the edge, the Countess kidnapped John's son. John kept coming back to the hotel to find peace and in time March suggested that John took it into his own hands to get justice.

John then murdered pedophile Gamboa and was about to hang himself, but March intervened and urged him to use his pain to make the world a "cleaner place." Back in present day, John tells Hahn that he's the murderer, but Hahn refuses to believe it. John eventually stabs Hahn for coveting his wife and heads back to the hotel.

For the first time he's fully aware of two different versions of himself and remembers everyone at the hotel. Iris tells him to walk away while he could, but John decides to finish March's project, the Ten Commandments Killings.

When the show returns next week on November 9, the Countess is getting married, but Donovan and Ramona take another stab at revenge. Meanwhile, a careless decision lands Alex in hot water.
