Together with the music video's director Hype Williams, the rapper is slammed for not giving credit to Gaspar Noe and Tom Kan's work 'Enter the Void'.

AceShowbiz - The accusations against Kanye West and Hype Williams for their work in "All of the Lights" music video are far from over. Director of "Enter the Void" Gaspar Noe follows the footsteps of graphic designer Tom Kan in claiming that the duo ripped off the film's title sequence.

Noe said in an interview with the Daily Beast that he was "surprised" but "irritated" at the same time when discovering similarities between the 2009 film and the 2011 music video. Both include brightly-colored flashing typography in different styles set to music.

"I was more shocked by the fact that that guy who copied all the typography of my titles put his name in it - Hype Williams - when you never usually see a director's name in a music video," Noe said. "He was putting his name on it over and over! It was so weird that he was not only copying it, but adding his name into the credits over and over again."

Noe said nobody from West and Williams' camp asked for a permission to use his work. "The truth is that when you put something out there, if you put any idea out there that's kind of flashy, you have many, many people that are going to be copying it. This happens whether you do movies, paintings or music," he said.

Kan, who designed the sequence, was the first to voice his protest over the similarities. "I was amused that my work was being referenced by a well-known artist, but I was also disappointed that he had not contacted Gaspar nor myself to work on it," he said in 2011, adding, "Even if it's an homage, there must be an added personal touch."

The music video was eventually taken down from YouTube due to copyright complaints as well as concerns that it would cause seizures. The video was later put up again with the warning for people with photosensitive epilepsy.
