AceShowbiz - Less than a month before its premiere, "Homeland" season 5 is previewed in another promo video. The latest sneak peek sees Saul (Mandy Patinkin) sending Quinn (Rupert Friend) on a mission without backup.
Quinn is later seen telling Carrie (Claire Danes) that someone wants her dead. Carrie finds her in danger many times, including being kidnapped by two guys. Another conversation with Quinn also hints that Carrie may have to leave her daughter in order to make things right.
"You are the best thing I have ever done," she tearfully says while making a video.
"Homeland" season 5 is set in Berlin, Germany. Carrie has a new life with her boyfriend Jonas Happich (Alexander Fehling) and her daughter, working for a private security firm. Her peaceful life soon ends when she somehow gets entangled in a national security issue.
Showtime boss David Nevins said that the fifth season was partly inspired by the real-life events surrounding Edward Snowden. Also starring Sebastian Koch, Miranda Otto, Sarah Sokolovic, Mark Ivanir and Micah Hauptman in new roles, the new season of the drama thriller is set to premiere Sunday, October 4 at 9 P.M. ET/PT on Showtime.
