'He's actually a different kind of person than people think. He's a nice guy. I hope to run against him someday,' Trump says of the rapper after the latter's announcement to run for president in 2020.

AceShowbiz - Donald Trump is clearly impressed by Kanye West's brave move to announce that he's running for president in 2020. In an interview with Rolling Stone on Tuesday, September 1, the Republican presidential candidate said that he wanted to "run against" him in presidential race.

"I was actually watching, I saw him [announce his candidacy on the VMAs], and I said, 'That's very interesting. I wonder who gave him that idea?' " Trump told the publication. He also gushed over the 38-year-old rapper as saying, "He's actually a different kind of person than people think. He's a nice guy. I hope to run against him someday."

Trump also admitted that he had a good relationship with West as saying, "He's said very nice things about me in the past ....extremely positive things." However, the 69-year-old business mogul was also surprised by recent comparisons between himself and the rapper as depicted in a video airing on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". "Comparisons with Kanye and myself - I don't quite get it," he said.

West's presidential announcement doesn't only impress Trump but also fellow celebrities. Kardashian family BFFs and the stars of E!'s upcoming show "Dash Dolls", Malika Haqq and Khadijah Haqq McCray, told E! News that they would surely vote for Kim Kardashian's husband.

"I'm in all the way, and I actually vote," Haqq said. "Some people will say 'I want this to be president' but they don't actually go to the polls and vote. I would vote!" Later on, McCray added, "All I have to say is if Kanye is to run for president in 2020 I'm definitely voting and I'd take him over Donald Trump any day. He's for the people."
