The eighth season's champion was announced a day before MTV's Video Music Awards.

AceShowbiz - The revived "America's Best Dance Crew" finds its first winner. Quest Crew takes the all-star crown on Saturday, August 29, a day before MTV Video Music Awards is held.

Quest, who won the third season, is entitled to the golden b-boy trophy and $100,000 in addition to the all-star champion title. They put aside Super Cr3w and Kinjaz, the former who won the second season and the latter who was the show's first-timer.

The winner was actually pre-determined. Judges' score was combined with public voting which tallied in over 95 million on Wednesday. But the final score was not revealed until the Saturday finale where Quest was the first to show their moves. The crew performed to Afrojack's "SummerThing!"

Judge T-Pain commented of their performance, "From flipping on your balls, from getting kicked in your balls ...you guys did a lot of stuff with balls in this season. There's a lot of balls in this whole thing."

The dance show was first canceled in 2012 following a decline in ratings. MTV revived the series earlier this year and recruited new judges including recording artist Teyana Taylor, and Broadway performer Frankie Grande. The eighth season is titled "America's Best Dance Crew All-Stars: Road to the VMAs" for its use of VMAs theme throughout the six episodes.
