'The fact that I am not giving up my crown doesn't mean that I am changing my stance about everything I said,' so the reigning Miss Universe explains in an interview with a Colombian radio station.

AceShowbiz - Though Donald Trump has called reigning Miss Universe Paulina Vega "hypocrite" after she refused to give up her crown while criticizing the business mogul's racial remarks, she won't back down. The Colombian beauty explained that her stance on Trump's racial remarks had nothing to do with giving up the crown.

The 22-year-old beauty said in an interview with Colombian radio station La W, "The fact that I am not giving up my crown doesn't mean that I am changing my stance about everything I said." She found that Trump's argument calling her "hypocrite" lacked logical reasoning. "It doesn't make any sense that Donald Trump calls me a hypocrite because I'm not giving up my crown," she argued.

On July 2, Vega made a statement in an Instagram post. She dubbed Trump's comments on Mexicans "unjust and hurtful." She made it clear that Trump's comment didn't represent The Miss Universe Organization as it "works independently from its owners." Her disagreement about the businessman's comment continued as she said, "I strongly believe that dividing and categorizing humankind only holds it back. Acknowledging and embracing the differences that exist across humanity is the first step in real and substantial development."

Following the criticism addressed to him, the 69-year-old G.O.P politician tweeted, "Miss Universe, Paulina Vega, criticized me for telling the truth about illegal immigration, but then said she would keep the crown-Hypocrite."
