The Spanish-language broadcaster will no longer air Miss USA pageant after severing ties with Miss Universe Organization and the Trump organization.

AceShowbiz - Univision cuts ties with Miss Universe Organization which is co-owned by Donald Trump. The Spanish-language broadcast company will no longer air Miss USA pageant or any other beauty competitions tied to the Trump organization after the business mogul made racist remarks about Mexican immigrants.

"The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else's problems," the presidential hopeful said in his speech when kicking off his campaign at Trump tower last week. "I have great respect for Mexico and love the Mexican people, but my loyalty is to the United States and making our country great again."

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best ... They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us," the business magnate continued. "They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists." He then added, "And some, I assume, are good people."

As controversy arose, Trump later clarified his statement, "I have many successful business relations with Mexican companies and employ, and am close friends with, many Mexican people. The disappointment I expressed relates to our incompetent politicians and their failed trade and immigration policies."

However, Univision didn't seem to be impressed by his explanation. "At Univision we see first-hand the work ethic, love for family, strong religious values and the important role Mexican immigrants and Mexican-Americans have had and will continue to have in building the future of our country," the broadcaster said.

"We will not be airing the Miss USA pageant on July 12th or working on any other projects tied to the Trump Organization," the company continued. "Univision News and the local news division will continue to provide comprehensive coverage of all candidates, including Mr. Trump, to ensure our audience continues to have access to all points of view."
