AceShowbiz - Speculation that Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards were secretly married quickly spread on internet following an Instagram video posted on Thursday, June 11, showing Perrie introducing herself as "Perrie Malik." However, it was confirmed that the rumors were untrue.
An insider told Gossip Cop that the rumors about the two already married were "rubbish" and "nonsense." The lovebirds had not tied the knot despite the surname Perrie was using on the video.
The rumor-inciting video was posted on Little Mix's official Instagram account. Besides Perrie, the other Little Mix members appeared on the video, including Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall. The video showed three of them, excluding Jade, introducing themselves with the surname of their beaus. They were making fun of Jade who was single.
The group's rep told E! News, "The three girls in the group with boyfriends say their first name and their boyfriend's last name and Jade says 'I'm Jade' with no last name because she doesn't have a boyfriend." The statement made it clear that it had nothing to do with Zayn and Malik's wedding. "They were teasing her. Nothing more," the rep added.
Zayn and Perrie confirmed their engagement in August 2013. Just last month, the Little Mix member opened up about her wedding plan. "I don't know when the wedding will be. We're still planning it but I'm so busy with Little Mix now 'Black Magic' is coming out," she told The Sun. "Me and Zayn want it to be perfect, so as soon as I have a bit of time we'll plan it. I doubt it will be this summer - but I'll let you know!"
