Shortly after releasing his latest single from his new album 'Room Under the Stairs', the 'Pillow Talk' singer treats his devotees to a video of him singing the song.

AceShowbiz - Zayn Malik has treated his devotees to the first live performance video of his new single. Shortly after unleashing "Alienated", the "Pillow Talk" singer launched a clip of him delivering the newly-released song.

On Friday, April 12, the 31-year-old singer let out the video, in which he performed the latest single, via YouTube. In the footage, he can be seen sitting down in front of a standing red microphone. He is joined by a number of band members, some of whom play guitars. In the meantime, the other two band members are showing off their skills in playing drums and piano.

Zayn sings, "No two people are the same/ Stand beside you, but just far enough away/ Last night we were drinking/ Tried to think away the pain/ Made that age-old mistake/ Tried to disconnect my body/ From my soul, from my soul/ See, I feel alright already on my own." He continues, "Can you let me be/ Intoxicated on my own?/ Do I need to answer/ Or right my wrongs?/ Am I home if I don't know this place?"

The former One Direction singer serenades, "And I've been feeling alienated/ On my spaceship alone/ Say goodbye to the past/ Leave it all with a laugh/ 'Cause you always was right all along." He adds, "Know my reasons for the pain/ But if you brought it in front of me/ I know I'd do it all again/ Call them beer can gains/ I know from all the years/ That my feelings nŠµver change."

Earlier that day, Zayn released his latest single "Alienated" on various music streaming platforms. Shortly after dropping the track, he received positive online responses from his listeners. One in particular gushed, "His voice is just so beautiful and perfect he never fails to impress me with everything he releases."

Similarly, another raved, "This song comes from the depths of his heart. The vulnerability can be felt in his voice. Now it's more clear to me why Zayn called this his most personal and raw project till date. We're all here for it."
