The former Oasis rocker said during a chat on 'Late, Late Show' that he didn't understand Zayn Malik's decision to leave the group because 'they've only got, at most, five years left.'

AceShowbiz - Noel Gallagher predicts that One Direction's career will be over in a few years. During a chat with James Corden on the host's "Late, Late Show" on Monday, June 1, the outspoken rocker once again blasted Zayn Malik for leaving the group, saying he couldn't understand the young singer's decision because "they've only got, at most, five years left."

Gallagher added that Malik should've stayed with the band although he wouldn't be doing anything. "He should just stand at the back, smoke weed, get laid, just pick the check up and go home," he said. "But he should get himself a good accountant."

Gallagher is an expert when it comes to bands breaking up. Later in the interview, he talked about the split of his own band Osis in 2009. "It was in a festival in Paris," he recalled the night the band parted ways. "As I left the band, I was walking out of the dressing room and somebody came in and said '10 minutes to stage time.' And that was it. And we left a load of French people very, very upset in a field."

"[There] were proper fistfights backstage," he added. "Yeah, yeah yeah it was great. It was pretty even towards the end. I did leave on a high though."

In addition to the interview with Corden, Gallagher was on the late-night show to perform "Lock All the Doors".
