'Sons of Anarchy' Series Finale: Jax's One Last Ride
TV

Charlie Hunnam's Jax Teller ties up all loose ends after pondering on his father's legacy in the last episode.

AceShowbiz - After all the bad deeds he did throughout the emotional and violent season 7, it seemed Jax Teller's fate was already sealed. In the "Sons of Anarchy" series finale aired on Tuesday, December 9, fans finally got the answer to the big question of whether or not he survives.

As the episode's title suggested, the series finale saw Jax pondering on his father's legacy, SAMCRO, which had gone far away from his father's desire to turn it into a legitimate business as it fell into the darkness along with Jax himself.

Thus in the last 90 minutes of the show, Jax tried to set things right first before making a big decision on his own fate. [SPOILER ALERT!] He visited the graves of Opie and Tara, settled scores with the Irish gun runners, offered Connor Malone a new business plan, and killed the double crossing Charles Barosky and August Marks.

Jax admitted to Nero that he killed Gemma before saying goodbye to Wendy and his sons. Meanwhile, the club voted for him to meet Mr. Mayhem and he passed his title as the president of the club to Chibs, who in turn named Tig as the new V.P. He was ready to give his life in the hands of his brothers, but Chibs shot Happy's arm instead to cover Jax's escape.

Jax then visited the spot of his father's death, saying that it's too late for him to get out but "it's not too late for my boys." He then took off on another high-speed chase, being followed by police cars and motorcycles . When he saw a truck driven by Michael Chiklis' Milo, he intentionally crashed into the truck.

While it's obvious that Jax couldn't escape his sins, fans can't help getting emotional when watching the heartbreaking episode. Alexandra wrote on Twitter, "I'm crying #SOAFinale," while Anna tweeted, "Yeah I ugly cried during the #SOAFinale." Another fan under the username @corsolino simply didn't "want it to be over."
