Ansel Elgort, Natalie Dormer Among Winners in Film Category at 2014 NewNowNext Awards

Elgort is named Best New Lead Film Actor for his performance in 'The Fault in Our Stars' while Dormer wins Best New Lead Film Actress for 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1'.

AceShowbiz - The taping for Logo TV's 2014 NewNowNext Awards has been just wrapped up. At the event which took place at Miami South Beach at the Kimpton's Surfcomber, airing on December 7, Ansel Elgort, Natalie Dormer and "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" were named winners in movie and theater categories.

Elgort won Best New Lead Film Actor for his performance in "The Fault in Our Stars". Dormer, meanwhile, won Best New Lead Film Actress for her role in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1". Another notable winner at the event hosted by Darren Criss was "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" which was named Best New Broadway Production-Musical.

Gillian Flynn took home the Best New Screenwriter trophy for scribing "Gone Girl". The Best Motion Picture by a New Filmmaker trophy that night was handed to Justin Simien's "Dear White People".

In addition to winners in movie, prizes in theater, music and TV categories were handed out that night. Apart from "Hedwig and the Angry Inch", other notable winners in theater category included Alexander Sharp and Sophie Okonedo who won Best New Broadway Lead Actor and Actress.
