The British singer, who wins Best New Musician (Male) at the awards show, joins other winners including Betty Who and A Great Big World.

AceShowbiz - The full winners list of the 2014 NewNowNext Awards has been unveiled. The winners in all fields including music, TV and Movie were announced during the ceremony at Kimpton's Surfcomber hotel on Miami's South Beach on Tuesday night, December 2.

Sam Smith came out as one of the winners in music. The British sensation was named the Best New Musician (Male) after beating out competitors including Hozier, Nick Jonas, John Newman and Paolo Nutini.

In Best New Musician (Female) category, meanwhile, Australia-born singer Betty Who bested Iggy Azalea, Charli XCX, Mary Lambert and Meghan Trainor.

A Great Big World was another name in music who made the winners list. The New York duo consisting of Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino won the Best New Music Group award over other groups like Bastille, Bleachers, Disclosure and Pentatonix.

The 2014 NewNowNext Awards was hosted by "Glee" star Darren Criss. It featured performances from Jessie J who burned down the stage with the performance of "Burnin' Up", Kristin Chenoweth who stunned the crowd with her rendition of "Maybe This Time" from "Cabaret" and Joe Jonas who showed off his DJ-ing skills.

The annual show will air on Logo TV on December 7 at 08:00 P.M. and on MTV on December 12 at 07:00 P.M.
