Taylor Swift's '1989' Stays Atop Billboard 200

The chart's top 10 this week only has two new entries, Bette Midler's 'It's the Girls' that comes at No. 3 with 40,000 and Calvin Harris' 'Motion' which sits at No. 5 with 35,000.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift's "1989" continues its domination on Billboard 200. The album, which last week opened at No. 1 with 1.287 million copies, spends another week atop the chart after selling additional 402,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The record has now sold a total of 1.688 million copies.

The "Now 52" album is also a non-mover, keeping its position steady at No. 2 with another 59,000. The compilation set last week arrived with 103,000. Bette Midler is the first of only two new arrivals in the top 10 this week. "It's the Girls", which features her covers of popular female groups' songs, starts at No. 3 with 40,000.

At No. 4, Jason Aldean's "Old Boots, New Dirt" jumps from last week's No. 5 with around 35,000. Rounding out the top 5 is another new entry Calvin Harris' "Motion" that opens with 35,000. The album posts the Scottish DJ's best sales week yet, easily besting his previous effort "18 Months" that peaked at No. 19 with 17,000.

Florida Georgia Line's "Anything Goes" stays at No. 6 with 30,000. Barbra Streisand's "Partners", Sam Smith's "In the Lonely Hour" and Brantley Gilbert's "Just as I Am" all return to the top 10. The former two are sitting at No. 7 and No. 8 with 28,000 and 27,000 respectively. The latter impressively soars from last week's No. 62 to No. 9 with 26,000 after Google Play store discounted the album to 99 cents.

At No. 10 is Sam Hunt's "Montevallo" which plunges from No. 3 after selling 25,000 in its second week.
