AceShowbiz - Earlier this year, it was announced that Lorde would curate the soundtrack of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1". The New Zealand-born teen is now reported recruiting some of the best musicians in the game to sing tracks for the highly-anticipated film.
According to PageSix, the "Royals" singer has picked '80s superstars like Grace Jones and Duran Duran's frontman Simon Le Bon in addition to hitmakers from this generation including Diplo and Charli XCX.
Not only does Lorde curate the soundtrack, but she also recorded an original song called "Yellow Flicker Beat" for the latest installment in the "Hunger Games" franchise. The mid-tempo pop/rock track was released on Monday, September 29.
"['Yellow Flicker Beat' is] my first offering from what I hope will be a soundtrack you love. It's my attempt at getting inside her head, Katniss'. I hope you like it," she said in a Tumblr post.
