The series from Akiva Goldsman will focus on a band of young superheroes led by newly-reinvented Dick Grayson.

AceShowbiz - TNT is hoping to get its hands on a superhero TV series based on DC Comics. The cable and Warner Bros. are close to strike a deal on a pilot production of "Titans", a one-hour live-action drama that focuses on a group of super heroes-to-be.

The series will see a group of young superheroes being recruited from every corner of the DC universe. Dick Grayson aka Robin will come out of Batman's shadow to become Nightwing and the leader of the band of heroes. Among his team are Starfire and Raven. Per THR, the show is described as a dramatic adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book titles ever.

"Batman Forever" scribe Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes are developing the series as writers. Goldsman will also executive produce while Haimes co-exec produce. "Titans", according to Deadline, is one of the three projects that just await for a formal greenlight from TNT as the network is undergoing a regime change.

There are three other shows based on DC Comics launching this Fall. They are CW's "The Flash", NBC's "Constantine" and FOX's "Gotham".
