According to a source, the 'Dirty Laundry' singer 'has been showing [the ring] off to friends and family and is very happy' with her engagement.
Kelly Rowland is engaged to her manager Tim Witherspoon, a source close to the situation confirms. "She has been showing [the ring] off to friends and family and is very happy. She wants to...enjoy [it] and celebrate for a bit longer," the source tells Us Weekly.
Earlier this month, Rowland sparked engagement speculation after she flashed a diamond ring in an Instagam video to wish Patrick "J. Que" Smith's kid a happy birthday. At that time, Witherspoon was reported proposing to the former Destiny's Child member a week before and the singer said yes.
Rowland was previously engaged to former NFL star Roy Williams. The couple, however, broke the engagement in 2005 just two months before the planned wedding. "I was too young for marriage. But sometimes you fall down and you learn from it," the judge of "The X Factor (US)" later said of the break-up in an interview with Cosmopolitan U.K.
Last month, the Grammy-winning singer said that she was not sure if she was ready to start a family because she was "too busy with the career." She told E! News, "I don't know. I do want kids, I do want to be married."
