Confirming the wedding news is a representative for Lucas, who also adds that the 'J. Edgar' actor and his new bride, Jessica, are expecting their first child together.
Josh Lucas is officially off the market. The actor playing Jake Perry in "Sweet Home Alabama" married freelance writer Jessica in a secret ceremony on Friday, March 16 around two months after he revealed that they have gotten engaged, his representative has confirmed.
While keeping details of the wedding secret, the representative for Lucas also brought in another happy news. According to the rep, in addition to being a married man, the 40-year-old actor, who stars as Charles Lindbergh in "J. Edgar", is expecting his first child together with his new bride.
Lucas broke news of his engagement in early January during an appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno". The Hollywood hunk revealed that he popped the question after having a scary encounter with a mountain lion while filming a movie in Big Sur, California.
"That night, I then go home at 4 o'clock in the morning and realize I don't have a flashlight," he recalled. "And as I'm going up, I get to the point where I realize I can see nothing...I hear, totally serious, two big breaths, and six feet above me, I see the very slight glint of the eyes of a huge [mountain lion] and I literally proceed to do what I had just read in the instructions."
The Mitch McDeere of "The Firm" continued, "And I started screaming and yelling and literally being as crazy as I could be, it padded off and just slowly went away and I worked my way into the trailer and I got in and I decided at that moment that this woman was the woman for me."
