In addition to footage of Willis reminding Stallone of his debt, this teaser trailer for the sequel of 2010's 'The Expendables' gives a quick glimpse at the all-star cast members.
The first teaser trailer for "The Expendables II" has been debuted. Courtesy of Apple, this sneak peek opens with Bruce Willis' Mr. Church reminding his old pal Sylvester Stallone's Barney Ross that he owes him a favor. "I knew that one day would come when you were going to pay me back, and today's that day," Church tells Ross.
The teaser does not spoil any action scenes just yet, but it does give a quick glimpse at the all-star cast-members. Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Liam Hemsworth and Jean-Claude Van Damme are those getting highlighted before Arnold Schwarzenegger closes it with a bang.
The Expendables gang are reunited as Mr. Church enlists them to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them.
Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time, six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that's nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother.
Tackling the helming duty for the sequel of 2010's "The Expendables" is Simon West. In addition to starring in the film, Stallone also co-writes the script along with David Agosto, Ken Kaufman and Richard Wenk. This high-octane action movie is due to release in theaters across the U.S. on August 17, 2012.
