Jet Li and Jackie Chan Re-Teaming for Another Movie?
March 19, 2008 10:03:43Though their latest action film "The Forbidden Kingdom" has yet to open in the theaters, it has been rumored that the two top Asian action stars, Jet Li and Jackie Chan are planning to collaborate their acts once again for another movie. According to The Associated Press, following their first teaming up in "Kingdom", both Li and Chan revealed their desire to work together again at a Hong Kong news conference on Tuesday, March 18 to promote the Lions Gate Films' movie.
Hinting on the possibility of them reteaming in another film, Chan, who gathered recognition from Hollywood though 1995's "Rumble in the Bronx" as well as "Rush Hour" series, revealed that he and Li had so much fun filming for the Rob Minkoff-directed film that they didn't want the fun to be ended there. "The first day we started filming, it felt like we had worked together for many years," he said, "after filming this movie, we didn't have enough fun." Though refusing to give out further details about their second collaboration, AP reported that the kungfu movies' stars have planned to make another movie together based on a script which they have started working on 15 years ago.
Sequel Flicks Coming in 2008

The earliest sequel movie coming within the calendar may be 'Step Up 2 the Streets', but minus its original cast (Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan), its anticipation may be overshadowed by 'The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian' that retains its original cast and 'The Incredible Hulk' which is hopeful with its new star, Edward Norton.
New Mummy Still Featuring Jet Li as the Dragon Emperor
October 24, 2007 02:10:42Never miss to give an update to his official blog for his current project "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor", director Rob Cohen has delightfully posted another production still from the project, this time featuring the first look of martial arts expert Jet Li.
As seen on the above left, the photo shows the back image of Brendan Fraser as Rick O'Connell as he is about to take a kick from a gravity-defying Li, who plays a despotic Emperor in 50 B.C. whose evil is punished by a terrible curse. Li, according to Cohen, just shot his scene of riding a black stallion into battle in a jade armor on Monday, October 22, 2007.
Jackie Chan Recovering Nicely from Injury During Filming

Jackie Chan injured himself, but is now okay. The action movie star re-injured his back while filming his latest film project "The Forbidden Kingdom" in China last week.
In his Web blog, the martial arts expert said he aggravated an old back injury when shooting a scene that required him to throw someone upward for his first collaboration with Jet Li. He said the unfortunate caused him to be "in excruciating pain" when he woke up the next day, and "could barely get myself out of my bed."

Coming to its twentieth six celebration of Hong Kong Film Awards, set to be held on April 15 this year, Hong Kong Film Awards Association (HKFAA) has delightfully unveiled the list of titles and names nominated for this most prestigious film awards in the region.
Becoming the most nominated one is epic feature "Curse of the Golden Flower" as it fantastically scooped up fourteen nominations in total, notably the top prize of Best Film and Best Director for Zhang Yimou, followed by "Fearless" and "The Banquet" with seven nods each.

Turns out the rumor does ring true. The Hollywood Reporter has delightfully brought in good news that Jet Li is holding negotiations with Universal Pictures to play the main villain in "The Mummy 3."
The third installment of "Mummy" franchise, the project has already had Rob Cohen on duty to direct based on script penned by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. While the likes of Sean Daniel, Stephen Sommers, and Bob Ducsay also Jim and James Jacks are all confirmed to produce, no deals come yet from stars of the two previous films, Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz.

At last it is confirmed. Answering the heavy questions on the collaboration between him and fellow Asian star Jackie Chan, Jet Li has unveiled to ComingSoon.net that he indeed will join the actor to share scenes together in a big screen feature tentatively titled "The J&J Project."
"Next April, we're going to make a movie," he revealed during an interview on his latest film, "Fearless." "Everybody's waiting for the producer and the director to announce." On the other hand, Li, however, refused to give further information on the project, keeping his mouth shut tightly when being asked about the plot or the premise of the flick. "Don't be selfish! Let them tell the world!" so he shouted with a smile.

Jet Li is sued over his new film "Fearless", which a Chinese kung fu master Huo Yuanjia's relatives claimed to dishonor and misrepresent the life of Yuanjia.
Thus, Li has his name listed in the March 7 lawsuit, in addition to the film's producers and distributors, with the reason that he "not only played the lead role but participated in the making and production of the movie," the official Xinhua News Agency said Sunday, citing lawyer Yang Zhonghai.
